Descriptive Note Text
This black-and-white photo postcards shows the impressive facade of the Pavilion of England, designed by exposition architects Stefano Molli, Pietro Fenoglio and Giacomo Salvadori di Wiesenhof, located behind the Fountain of the Twelve Months, on the right side of the river Po. As described in the CTI guide, the central structure was framed by two spires, surmounted by the Royal Crown. Behind the trees, one can glimpse the two porticos supported by double columns, and covered by balconies extending from the right and left sides of the pavilion's main body.
