Archival Materials
Archival Materials are «the physical materials that make up the mass of an archive» (Getty Art and Architecture Thesaurus).
This section includes all the archival materials collected from several public and private institutions worldwide. This is not a simple digitization of original archival materials: Besides digitization, archival materials are classified according to function (for example, architectural documents; exhange media, etc.).
Since the collected archival materials are heterogeneous, their digital copy is provided in different formats according to type:
• Archival materials composed of a single image or front-and-back images are displayed as side-by-side images.
• In the case of three pages or more, materials are shown as flipping books.
• Videos are displayed as videos integrated into the interface.
