This black-and-white phoptograph shows the Istituto Geografico De Agostini Pavilion, with its inconic sculpture of the earth, placed at the top of the building. One of the main attractions in the Pavilion was the relief-map of Italy created by Cavaliere Domenico Locchi.
The Istituto Georgrafico De Agostini was founded by geographer Giovanni De Agostini in Rome in June 1901. In 1908 the Institute was moved to Novara, in the Piedmont region of Italy.
