Descriptive Note
Domenico Locchi was an illlustrator, cartographer, and creator of relief maps probably born in the Piedmont region of Italy. He worked as an illustrator of gergraphical and historical map for the publishing house Paravia (Torino). He became a member of the Societa' Geografica Italiana in 1885.
For the Exposition of Turin 1911, Domenico Locchi created a bas relief of Italy, in color, that was displayed in the Pavilion of the Istituto Geografico De Agostini.
