Descriptive Note
Émile Berr was a French journalist. He wrote for La France du Nord, Nouvelle Revue, Petite République Française, Petit Parisien, and Le Figaro. He also contributed to Figaro Illustré, Illustration, XIXme Siècle, Liberté, Revue Bleue, and Vie Parisienne. He wrote the book, Au Pays des Nuits Blanches, Paris, 1900.
Berr was a foreign correspondent for Le Figaro. In this role, he interviewed numerous political figures, and travelled extensively inj England, Switzerland, Belgium, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Russia, and Alsace-Lorraine. In 1900 he received the cross of the Legion of Honor.
On the occasion of the Exposition of Turin 1911 he authored the volume Rapport Général de la Section Française with G-Roger Sandoz.
