Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows a lateral view of the Monumental Bridge leading to the Castello delle Acque. One can see four of the bridge's five arches, which were supported by caryatids created by Giovanni Battista Alloati. One can also see the columns with sculptural groups by Angiolo Del Santo, with basements holding up Winged Victories by sculptor Francesco Sassi.
