Descriptive Note Text

This postcard shows a color drawing of the Pavilion of Arts Applied to Industry, which included exhibits devoted to China, Japan, and Persia. The Pavilion of Arts Applied to Industry was the first of the large structures that fairgoers encountered upon entering the exposition from the Main Entrance at Umberto I Bridge. This drawing captures the lavish curves and vivacity of the Baroque style, as well as the feeling of leisure and elegance that marked the Exposition events.

The postcard was mailed to Vercelli, Italy, on January 3, 1912.
