Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photograph shows the Pavilion of Hungary under the snow.  The 1911 Turin World's Fair was impacted by harsh winter weather, including significant snow, strong winds, and cold temperatures in late 1910 and early 1911, which delayed completion of some of the buildings. The Pavilion of Hungary, however, was completed successfully before the official opening of the Exposition on April 29, 1911.
