Touring Club Italiano (TCI) (Italian Touring Club or Touring Club of Italy) was founded as Touring Club Ciclistico Italiano (TCCI) on 8 November 1894 by a group of cyclists to publicize and promote cycling, tourism, and travel, under the Presidency of Luigi Vittorio Bertarelli. TCI quickly expanded to cover multiple forms of travel, including the nascent automobile travel.
Touring Club Italiano produced a wide variety of maps, guidebooks, and specialized studies, and is known for its excellent cartography, that included detailed road maps of Italy. In addiiton to many guides to Italy, the TCI is well-known for its prestigious guidebooks called the "Guide Rosse."
Between 1908 and 2013, Touring Club Italiano, along with Club Alpino Italiano, published the Guida dei Monti d'Italia, devoted to all the mountain ranges of Italy.
On the occasion of the Exposition of Turin 1911, TCI published a detailed guide to the Exposition.
