Descriptive Note

After abandoning his studies in accounting and mathematics, Carlo Follini chose to specialize in landscape painting at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, then under the leadership of Antonio Fontanesi. He showed his works at the Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti in Turin, and participated in exhibitions in Turin, Milan, Florence, Naples, Palermo, Monaco, Munich, Paris, Cologne, London, and San Francisco. He was especially appreciated for his paintings of alpine and rural scenes and iconic Italian cities such as Venice.

Carlo Follini painted a watercolor of the Pavilion of Siam and one of the Pavilion of Serbia that were included in the Giornale Ufficiale dell'Esposizione di Torino 1911 and reproduced in many postcards.
