Descriptive Note Text

The Ristorante Francese was also called Retaurant du Parc. With its tall arched windows, columns, and elegant balaustrade his restaurant recalled the architecture of Palazzo Madama, and more in general, the neobaroque style that was the unifying cipher of the Exposition. The sign F. Ascheri on the right side of the balaustrade might refer to a family of winemakers of the Langhe region.
