This black-and-white photo postcard shows the arches of the Monumental Bridge still under construction.  One can see scaffolding at the base of the arches and at the end of the bridge. The caryatids created by Giovanni Battista Alloati are visible in this image, as well as the Winged Victories by sculptor Francesco Sassi.
