Descriptive Note Text

This colorized photo postcard shows a view of the Pavilion of Hungary from the Valentino Park. One can see two of the pyramidal domes that were said to represent the Tatra mountains, and the catenary dome above the Pavilion's main entrance. An automobile crowded with many passengers brings the sign of modernity to the shot, at a time when Turin was proud to consider itself the home of the automobile industry in Italy, with iconic brands such as F.I.A.T. and Lancia.

The postcard was mailed to Genoa, Italy.
