Descriptive Note Text

This colorized postcard displays an impressive high-angle view of the Corso Raffaello's entrance to the Exposition.  The Entrance's structure, with its columns and covered porticoes, elegantly wraps around Davide Calandra's equestrian monument to Prince Amedeo, which was inaugurated in 1902, on the occasion of the First International Exposition of Modern Decorative Art in Turin. The entrance structure was built by Beniamino Quadri and Giovanni Colombo construction company.
