This postcard advertized the Grand Italian National Lottery that benefitted the 1911 Exposition.  The grand prize amounted to 1.5 million liras (approximately 5.718.717 Euros today) and a ticket cost 3 liras (approximately 17 Euros today) and could be divided into thirds.

The postcard depicts an allegory of Fortuna (a blindfolded woman in flowing white garments against a fiery sky) holding the Wheel of Fortune as a young maiden approaches her with arms outstretched. In the background, one can see the Mole Antonelliana (Turin) and the Altare della Patria (Rome).

The postcard was mailed to Cagliari (Sardinia) and dated August 8, 1912.
