This patriotic drawing celebrating the Anniversary of Italy's Unification via the Expositions of Turin and Rome depicts Italy, represented as a crowned female ruler wearing the regal ermine stole and enthroned in the very center top of the picture. Italia is holding hands with Giuseppe Garibaldi and Giuseppe Mazzini on one side, and Count Cavour and King Victor Emmanuel on the other. In the background, one can see the citiscapes of Rome and Turin, with the iconic Colosseum and Mole Antonelliana, respectively. Closer to the foreground, two capitals show the She Wolf and the sign SPQR, symbols of Rome, and the royal Eagle with Turin's Taurus, or Bull, representing Turin. Under Italia is the Savoy coat of arms (a cross).
