Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows a view of the Martell Kiosk in the gardens of the French Pavilion. This kiosk was devoted to the cognac house founded in 1715 by Jean Martell, a merchant who began his trading business at Gatebourse in Cognac. One can also see the Monumental Bridge in the background, and a section of the Moët & Chandon Kiosk on the right side of the postcard.
