This is a black-and-white photograph of the “Palazzo del Ministero delle Poste e Telegrafi” (Pavilion of the Ministry of Posts and Telegraphs).
The central block has a central cartouche bearing the Savoy cross shield. A very tall, thin mast extends nearly to the top of the frame. Given the building’s purpose, the mast may be a wireless telegraph antenna rather than an ordinary flagpole. The building has two flanking wings, and each wing has a tall round-arched entrance framed by paired columns. Three vertical banners hang from poles on the wing roofs. Each shows the Italian tricolor with the Savoy shield and has a fringed lower edge.
