This colorized photo postcard shows the entrance from Corso Massimo D'Azeglio and Corso Raffaello. The entrance was a semi-circular structure that wrapped around Davide Calandra's monument to Prince Amedeo, of which we have a frontal view in this photo. The Monument was inaugurated in 1902, on the occasion of the First International Exposition of Modern Decorative Art in Turin. The entrance structure was built by Beniamino Quadri and Giovanni Colombo construction company.
The postcard was mailed to Montevideo, Uruguay on June 19, 1911.
