Descriptive Note
Alfredo Comandini was a journalist, historiographer and Italian politician. He was elected deputy of the city of Cesena in 1892 and, for some years, he was editor-in-chief of the northern Italy newspapers “Adige”, “Lombardia” and “Corriere della Sera”. As soon as he gave his resignation, he wrote several historical essays and books about Italian Risorgimento period including, "Cospirazioni di Romagna e Bologna nelle memorie di Federico Comandini e di altri patrioti del tempo", 1899; "Il principe Napoleone nel Risorgimento italiano", 1922); also, he collaborated to the volume "L'Italia nei cento anni del sec. 19º."
For the Turin 1911 Fair Comandini wrote some pieces on Le Esposizioni di Roma, Torino e Firenze (Treves).
