Descriptive Note Text
The Catalogo generale ufficiale dell'Esposizione Internazionale di Torino 1911 (Official General Catalogue of the 1911 Turin International Exhibition) is the definitive directory published for the 1911 Turin World's Fair. The volume serves as an exhaustive inventory of the global innovations, industries, and cultures showcased during the six-month exposition and lists all the official participants and exhibitors.
The cover of the book was designed by Giorgio Ceragioli.
The cover features a young woman who turns her head toward the viewer, her body enveloped in the folds of an Italian tricolor whose white band seamlessly merges with the fabric of her dress. Above her, the Savoyard emblem—the scudo crociato—emerges from the billowing banner, asserting dynastic presence. In the background, the River Po and the exposition pavilions situate the figure within a recognizable urban and exhibitionary landscape.
This publication is very similar to the Catalogo generale ufficiale dell'Esposizione Internazionale di Torino 1911. Edizione definitiva (final edition).
