This is an example of the decorative tiles that were produced by the Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture. These tiles were typically made of pyrogranite high fired painted glaze. They were coated in transparent and colored, opaque, and metallic éosin glazes. They displayed geometric motifs, natural shapes, or folk elements such as animals, tools, paesants at work, flowers, and plants.
