Descriptive Note Text

This photo postcard shows an ample high-angle view of the Arab neighborhood that was part of the Kermesse Orientale in the Pilonetto section of the Exposition.  One can see the typical architecture of the Oriental Villages that had become ubiquitous in all World's Fairs, with their minarets, grated windows, and rounded domes. On the left side of the photograph, one can see the Isabella Bridge and the distinctive shape of the Pavilion of Siam and the Pavilion of Serbia.
