The Ristorante popolare was also known with the names, Grande Ristorante Popolare; Grande Ristorante dell'Alleanza Cooperativa Torinese; Grande Ristorante Cooperativo. It was managed by the Alleanza Cooperativa Torinese (A.C.T.). The Alleanza Cooperativa was formed from the merger of the Associazione Generale Operai (A.G.O. ) and the Turin Railway Cooperative Society. By 1911, it was one of the largest Italian cooperative in terms of sales in the consumer goods sector. It was a pillar of the Piedmontese cooperative movement, with goals of solidarity and mutual aid for workers. In this postcard one can also see the kiosk of the Alleanza Cooperativa Torinese.
The large bulding to the left the kiosk hosted the Opere Pubbliche d'Italia. On the right side one can see the wing devoted to the F.I.A.T. exhibits.
