Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard displays a view from the River Po of the Pavilion of Fashion and the Pavilion of Hungary. One can see the main pyramidal dome of the Pavilion of Hungary and the two towers featuring the double cross of Saint Stephen, the first king of Hungary.  The back of the Pavilion of Fashion, facing the river, showed the graceful combination of Art Nouveau and Turinese Baroque elements that defined this elegant Pavilion.
