Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows an impressive view of the entire Pavilion of Hungary from the river Po. One can see the Pavilion's three pyramidal domes, which were said to represent the Tatra mountains of Hungary, and the two towers overlooking the river, with the double cross of Saint Stephen, the first king of Hungary. These towers were still under construction when this photo was taken.
