Descriptive Note Text
This black-and-white photo postcard shows a view of the Pavilion of Hungary. One can see the majestic catenary half-dome above the geometric portal of the Pavilion. It was made of brass sheets embossed with wrought iron and carried the motif of the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen. One can also see one of the Pavilion's three pyramidal towers, which were said to represent the Tatra mountains of Hungary, and some of the frescoes on the Pavilion's exterior walls. A covered carriage is visible on the right side of the photo, likely delivering items that would grace the interior of the Pavilion.
