Adjacent to the Pavilion of Hungary there was the "Mostra Forestale Ungherese" (Hungarian Forestry exhibition). At the turn of the 19th century, Hungary had 7.4 million ha of forests.The Hungarian forests, particularly those in the Carpatian mountains, were an important economic asset for Hungary at that time, and timber was used in many commercial enterprises, from furniture making to building construction.
