This colorized photo postcard shows the entrance to the Aquarium. Severe in its squared architectural forms, the Acquarium was one of the few buildings that was made out of brick and stone, rather than wood. Two sets of columns framed the entrance, above which was the sign "Aquarium" and "Mostra Oceanografica."
