Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows the main entrance to the Exposition, located on the intersection between Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Corso Cairoli. A colonnaded portico connected two enclosed units surmounted by two pinnacles. As shown by the the two eagles at the top of the pinnacles, this entrance was a tribute to the House of Savoy. Elaborate decorations and statues graced the entrance.
