Descriptive Note Text
The gardens of the French section were designed by Jules Vacherot, an accomplished landscape architects who had created the French gardens at many other expositions. Because of their topographical features and picturesque feel, the gardens were named "la valetta" [sic] in the volume Les Français à Turin en 1911 (p. 130-32).
The gardens included numerous exhibition kiosks, advertising prominent French companies and businesses.
