Liquore Strega is an Italian herbal liqueur-digestif that has been produced since 1860 by the Strega Alberti Benevento S.p.A. in Benevento, Italy. It contains approximately 70 herbal ingredients, including mint and fennel, and saffron (hence its yellow color).
Strega was developed in 1860 by Carmine Vincenzo Alberti with his son, Giuseppe Alberti. Strega became popular also for its colourful advertising, such as the poster designed in 1906 by Alberto Chappuis (brother of Edmondo Chappuis) in the art nouveau style.
The elegant kiosk of Liquore Strega was located near the Monumental Bridge. It was build following a design completed by the architectural firm Banzatti e Villa.
