Turin 1911 is now part of the Time Machine Organization!

We are thrilled to announce that Turin 1911 is now part of the Time Machine Organization!

Politecnico di Torino and University of California San Diego are partners of the Time Machine Organization.

Together, we're aiming to bridge Europe's rich past with cutting-edge digital technologies, creating a collective digital information system that maps the continent's economic, social, cultural, and geographical evolution across time.

Turin 1911 the World’s Fair in Italy is now one of the over 140 local time machine projects, each contributing to this incredible initiative!

And what exactly is a local time machine, you may ask?

It's one of the main pillars of Time Machine’s agenda and vision of the Big Data of the Past, allowing us to jointly collect information provided by people and institutions participating in various Time Machine-related projects.

But wait, there's more! In this innovative approach, digitization is just the beginning. We're diving deep into document understanding, enhanced by Web Geographical Information Systems (webGIS) applications. This will lead us to simulate hypothetical spatiotemporal 3D reconstructions and link them to archival materials and other information, bringing history to life like never before.

Join us on this extraordinary journey as we explore the past, present, and future through the lens of technology and innovation!
