Online a new page on China’s participation in the Turin Exhibition

Our website has been enriched with a new page dedicated to China’s participation in the Exhibition.

The page explores how China presented itself to the Italian and international public through artistic objects, handcrafted goods, and materials linked to its industrial tradition, displayed within the Pavilion of Applied Arts to Industry. Ceramics, embroidered textiles, decorative objects, and small items offered for sale provided visitors with an evocative glimpse into Chinese material culture.

Another important area was the Pilonetto, where a series of dioramas illustrated the history of silk, from its origins in China to the spread of production techniques to other parts of the world, highlighting the central role of this product in the country’s economic and cultural history.
