About Turin 1911

Turin 1911 World’s Fair of Industry and Labour was held on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Italian Unity in the fabulous stage of the Valentino Park in Turin, the first Italian capital city. Almost 200 built environment objects cheered the 'Fabulous Exposition' which deserves the name of 'white city' for its architectures which were mirrored in the waters of the river Po but disappeared at the closing of the Fair.

Valentino Park

Situated along the left bank of the River Po, in the heart of Turin, the Parco del Valentino extends between Ponte Umberto I and Ponte Isabella, covering an area of approximately 421,000 square meters. The picturesque place of the Valentino Park has been historically devoted to expositions, becoming a city in a city.
