Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows the facade of the Pavilion of the City of Turin still under construction at the end of March 1911. Upon completion the Pavilion was intended to recall the structure of the Basilica di Superga with a pronao and a great dome 47.5 meters in height.  The Pavilion was designed by exposition architect Stefano Molli.
