Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows a view of the Pavilion of France from the river Po. One can see the Pavilion's impressive dome, measuring 50 meters in height. The main facade of the building was 193 meters long.  The postcard demonstrated the construction state as of March 1911, with the scaffolding for the two turrets of the Monumental Waterfall on the right side of the Pavilion still visible. The Pavilion was designed by architect Stefano Molli. 

This postcard was mailed to Billancourt, France on March 19, 1911.
