Cinzano is a brand of vermouths that dates back to 1757, and the herbal shop of two brothers, Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano of Turin, who created a red vermouth (Cinzano rosso) using aromatic plants from the Italian Alps in a secret recipe that combined 35 ingredients that became a very popular drink with the city's bourgeoisie.  The brothers also created Cinzano bianco, based on a different combination of herbs.
