This black-and-white photo postcard provides a rare lateral view of the Monumental Bridge still under construction. One can see scaffolding at the base of the arches. The caryatids created by Giovanni Battista Alloati are visible in this image, as well as the tall pillars with the Winged Victories created by sculptor Francesco Sassi.
