Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard shows the impressive Palazzo delle Industrie Artistiche. We can see the main entrance to the building with a large staircase leading to the "pronao" (colonnaded entrance), from which the visitor could access the inner galleries. The massive facade was crowned by the great dome of the central hall, which was inspired by the dome of Saint Peter in Rome.
