Descriptive Note Text
This black-and-white photo postcard shows the Pavilion of Latin America as seen from the left side of the river Po. The exhibition of Uruguay occupied the main hall and two large lateral rooms; the remaining space was devoted to the other countries (Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Cuba). One can see the grand portal with the name Uruguay stretched along the arch. A long ladder is visible in this photo which was likely taken as the pavilion was being completed.
