Descriptive Note Text

This black-and-white photo postcard presents a typical view of the Villaggio Alpino. The village was designed by Giovanni Chevalley and Alfonso Morelli di Popolo. Here we can see the steep roughly paved alleyway leading to the village church and main square, flanked by two log cabing and other alpine dwellings. Ladders are still placed in some areas, as the village was likely still being completed at the time this photograph was taken.
