Descriptive Note Text
This black and white photo postcard shows the Restaurant du Parc, also known as Ristorante Francese. The Restaurant du Parc was located at the heart of the fairgrounds, on the left bank of the river Po. With its tall arched windows, columns, and elegant balaustrade it recalled the architecture of Palazzo Madama, and more in general, the neobaroque style that was the unifying cipher of the Exposition.
The postcard was mailed to Rome.
