This postcard captures the brghteness of the Russian Pavilion framed between the blue sky and the water of the River Po, with the turrets of the Rocca Medievale in the back. The Pavilion of Russia was designed by Russian architect Vladimir Alekseevič Ščuko. Neoclassical in style, the Pavilion featured 12 exposition rooms, where Russia displayed traditional and industrial products, an enormous collection of statues and bronzes, and also some furniture from the Royal Palace of Saint Petersburg.
